A Nigerian Based In Canada Arrested for Assaulting Adults

Oghenemaro Ejerua, a 38-year-old Nigerian, was arrested by the Toronto Police Service in Canada for allegedly assaulting vulnerable adults. He committed the crime while he was working as a caregiver in Sibley Avenue and Dentonia Park Avenue.

A statement on the Toronto Police Service website disclosed that Ejerua was arrested after being declared wanted in December 2025. The statement said that the suspect was employed as a caregiver at a group home for vulnerable adults between November 1 and November 30, 2025.

The Toronto Police Service in Canada conducted an investigation, and it discovered that while Ejerua was working in the group home, he assaulted the vulnerable adults living there on several occasions. After the investigation was concluded, an arrest warrant was sent out, and the force was in search of the suspect. 

Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua, 38, of Toronto, was later found and arrested. He was charged with seven counts of assault. “He was scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 10:00 am, in room 106,” the Police force said in a statement.
